Length of visit: a half day.
Departure from Toulouse: 230 € (1 to 7 passengers).
This visit is in a fully equiped minibus that is entirely reserved for you and tour group. The guide-driver is also hired exclusively for you. Albi is without a doubt, the reddest of the red brick cities. The historic center that is a preserved monument is now entirely restored and enchants all who visit it. The program of this visit:
- guided visit of Old Albi (the old streets, the St Salvy cloister, the gardens of the Berbie Palace and the view of the Tarn River, the facade of the house that was the birthplace of Toulouse-Lautrec). - visit of the Cathedral St Cecile, the most impressive religious structure in all of the Southwest of France. Optional: a visit to the choir of the cathedral - 2 euros supplement per person - paid at the door). The visit continues with one of the following options:
* a visit to the Toulouse-Lautrec musuem, with or without our guide: the entrance fee is 4.50 per person - paid at the door. * free time in the historic city center, with its old buildings and charming shops. The "plus" with TOURSUD: your guide will take you to some surprising, out of the way places, to get the best view possible of the cathedral and the museum.  
Sample schedule: Departure from Toulouse: 13h30 Arrival in Albi: 14h30 Guided visit of Old Albi and cathedral: 1h30. Free time or visit to the Toulouse-Lautrec museum (visit with our guide if you wish, without supplement). Departure from Albi: 17h30 Return to Toulouse: 18h30 Included in the price are : - the transportation by minibus, the gas, the tolls, and the parking fees. - the services of the guide-driver who is a licensed professional guide: guided tour and commentaries by the guide exclusively for your group in Albi. Not included in the price are: - personal expenses - entrance fees to the choir of the cathedral of Albi (2 euros per person in 2008) and to the Toulouse-Lautrec museum (4.5 € per person); these visits are not compulsory, you are free to decide to visit or not at the moment. |
